made in usa

I spent the afternoon at a local garment factory reviewing the samples for our upcoming F/W menswear collection.  When we started (multee)project, we wanted to try our best to support the US economy, so we chose to work with domestic factories for our entire menswear line. An added benefit to working closely with local factories is that I can control the quality of the collection since I’m able to just drive a short distance to visit the factories, instead of having to deal with overseas factories.

So far, the production process has been taking longer than I had originally anticipated, mostly because I want to create garments that I’m really proud of.  The biggest challenge for me for this collection is to find the right balance between making sure the garment stays classic and also incorporating my own twist to it.  With tons of revisions, I know that the end result will all be worth it.
